Local governments are at the frontline of work with diverse communities and interest groups. Time and again we see the power of active and engaged residents and also the challenges which arise when groups are not working well with the council or community.


Having expert support for these groups can make all the difference. From assisting groups with strategic planning, governance and engagement we can help invigorate existing groups, support new ones and help align strategy.



Keynotes and Seminars

Good for the Hood’s founder, Jo Taranto is an expert speaker and presenter on topics that speak to communities' hearts. 


Jo speaks around the country on topics including sustainability innovation and industry trends, staff engagement and ESG, community social licence and connecting with nature.


All of Jo’s talks are tailored to meet the aims of the your event and are designed to help attendees rethink their own behaviours in the context of what both the broader organisation and our communities require.

Workshops and Education

Our workshops are well regarded as go-to sustainability engagement sessions. A mix of educational and discovery sessions, we work with your community on the environmental, social, and resilience issues which impact residents the most. 


We offer both online and face-to-face sessions. Live transcription and bilingual educators and translated materials are all available on request.
